The mission of the International Society of Oncologists from Pakistan (ISOP) is to mobilize and coordinate the global Pakistani oncology diaspora to collaboratively improve cancer care in Pakistan, in partnership with clinicians and institutions within the country.
ISOP is committed to:
• Strengthening cancer care delivery by promoting evidence-based, guideline-driven, and context-appropriate oncology practice.
• Advancing education and training through mentorship, academic exchange, virtual learning, and capacity-building initiatives.
• Facilitating high-quality research by enabling multicenter collaboration, data sharing, and international academic partnerships relevant to Pakistan’s cancer burden.
• Improving access and affordability of cancer care by contributing expert input on resource-optimized models, rational therapeutics, and health-system efficiency.
• Supporting policy and advocacy efforts by offering informed, non-political, expert guidance to relevant stakeholders and institutions.
• Building sustainable networks that connect diaspora physicians with local oncologists to foster long-term professional relationships and shared ownership of progress.
Through collaboration rather than relocation, partnership rather than prescription, and service rather than symbolism, ISOP seeks to contribute meaningfully to equitable, high-quality cancer care for patients in Pakistan.
